In the seventh video I was learning about NURBS and the Bezier modelling technique. The first thing I was taught to use was the Nurbs Curve feature. This allows you to make a path which I then was able to fill and increase the bevel depth. The higher the depth the thicker the object will be. How you make this curve go depends on the shape of the object.
After making a circle from the Nurbs curve I then used the Bezier Curve feature. It works kinda like the Nurbs curve but with this on you can create a more complex curve easier. I filled it and added a depth of 0.068.
Next I added two curves, a circle and a Bezier. I used these to create a shape than most resembles a wine glass or somesort of glass. The Bezier curve is how you change the geometry of the shape.
Next I moved onto making chain links. I made a circle and stretched it out to make an oval shape then I duplicated it and rotated it on he Y axis by 90 degrees. I had it so it looked like these two shapes where overlapping. Then I added an Array modifier to make multiple versions of these. I added another modifier called Curve. I created a Nurbs path for this because the chain will curve according to the curvature of the Nurbs path.
