10 - Combined Modelling Techniques

This is the final video in the series. In this I had to create a house from a floor plan reference image. (See it below.)

I created a plane that I re-sized to fit the whole floor plan, then for every wall you can see on the floor plan I put a edge loop on either side Then I deleted every part of the plane apart from the walls.

The walls on Solid mode not Wireframe.

Next I went around the plan putting edge loops along where the doors are and windows. I also up a plane on the floor to symbolize as the floor of the house.

Now I had to cut out the size of my windows on the walls surround in building. As well as the doors too.

Then I made the actual windows and the doors. I copied the edges of the window/door and duplicated it to be modeled on. After that I made the faces necessary and I modified them to the video so I got it right.

To finish the house I need a roof. I copied the floor plane and moved it up, level with the top of my walls then created an edge loop in the middle then raised it up making a triangle look. Then I put two more edge loop opposite to another then connected them by making a face to fill in the hole.

This is the final rendered version of my modeled house.
