This is the ninth video in the series and in this I learnt about Subdivision and Smoothing. The first thing I did was create a UV Sphere with 12 segments and 6 rings.
After making the sphere I added the Subdivision Surface modifier and set the View option to 2. Using this modifier improves the curvature of the shape by adding more faces the object. When rendered you can see these faces so this doesn't smooth the shape just making it more round.
To smooth a shape you need to press T and there will be an option there called Shading. There will be two options, Smooth and Flat. By default Flat is selected but if you choose Smooth it will change how the objects appearance will look by making it smoother. Even when rendered.
